Wolfgang Schlünzen was born in Düsseldorf in 1957, and after working with the American cinema industry he decided in 1984 to set up his own market research institute. In the MI's early years, Wolfgang Schlünzen mainly conducted research for the cinema industry into the impact of advertising, and has in the meantime distinguished himself as a specialist, above all in research into the media, brands, communication, and the impact of advertising. He regularly passes on his know-how in lectures and as part of his daily project work, manages the Institute as a team, and can boast motivated employees, some of whom have been with him for many years.
